What is a good EFL/ESL position salary in Israel? Any recomendations from those old timers?

I am unsure about starting salaries in the public school system. From what I understand it's minimum wage.
I can tell you, however that private tutoring jobs pay good money. If you are a native English speaker with experience working with children you can make 100 shekels/hour (about $20.00/hour).
