|

Hello all!! I have a couple of newbie questions for you! Hope you don't mind!
Does "annual airfare" mean that you receive tickets every year to go back to your country for your annual 2 month vacation?
Also, I have read several different ranges of salary at QU. Does anyone know what the BASE salary is?
Thank you!!!! Have a great day!! |

Yes, it is tickets back to what you declare as your home address. Normally, you can add stops if you wish to take the long way, but you would have to pay the difference in price.
Base salary? This is likely not a single number. Your pay will depend on your education and experience.

I believe everyone hired to teach English will start around $3700 USD tax free. To the best of my knowledge there is not a scale based on experience. |

I was surprised to hear that from a friend who interviewed with them lately. I assume that they require an MA to get to that level.

That's my understanding, too, VS. Though I've been told that while experience doesn't factor into the salary, a reasonable level of teaching experience (pref. post-secondary) is still required. |

That would be $3700 a MONTH, right? I'm not trying to be silly because I wasn't sure if you meant yearly and missed a zero. Can you clarify? THANKS |
