Hello,
I read somewhere online a person living in Qater needs an Exit visa to leave the country. Is this true? If so, what is the process for getting one? Do you have to apply weeks in advance?
Is living in Qatar like living In Saudi???? |

Yes, it's true: you need an exit visa to leave Qatar. If you are employed with QU, you can apply for a 1 year exit visa (good for a year) so you don't have to apply every time you feel like flying out. I don't know about other employers though...TC |

About a week or so. Not too bad.

You definitely need an exit visa although some places can issue a year long exit permit so you don't need one every time you leave. But it' up to your employers. Most won't do it. You have to pay for the year long exit permit unless your sponsor is willing to pay (most aren't). The exit visa is a real nuisance and a big problem in an emergency if you can't get hold of the big boss to sign the permit. |
