For us unintiated, could you fill us in on what it is Canadian Thanksgiving is celebrating? I really have no idea.

I think it was originally a harvest festival (featuring food and family Smile ). Which would make it logical that it's earlier in Canada than in the States.

I just finished digesting the mountain of turkey that was served up on Monday. The crazy thing was, it was SO nice in my neck of the woods in Canada that the whole family went swimming in the lake. Now, normally this is NOT how we Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving, but it was a pile of fun!

... most Canadians live below the 49th parallel and the harvest times don't differ THAT much between Canada and the US (5-6 weeks between Canadian Thanksgiving and US)
