I heard that some schools in the Kingdom hire native English speakers even if they don't have a college degree. Is this correct. I was told that a school that was short on teachers would go ahead and hire someone without a college degree. I heard that you can be hired through some agencies. Is this true?

While some 'schools' might be willing to hire someone without a degree, this would only happen in the case of a local hire. The Saudi embassy simply will not approve your visa unless you have at least a Bachelors' degree. In any case, institutions which would take on degree-less 'teachers' are probably not the type of place anyone would want to work.

One of my students, a 22 year old Saudi kid (degree-less), was given a job as an English teacher at an international school in Jeddah because he knew the owner (a Prince).

He himself told me that he always showed up very late, or even didn't show up many times, but the admin couldn't fire him as he knew the owner. So they tranferred him into admin!!!

Welcome to Saudi Arabia.

Not much chance of a foreigner getting a job without a degree.
