| Turnover of contractor EFL teachers is high. Its a hard life for them because they dont have the benefits aramcons have (ie. compound living and an ongoing job) Workwise its pretty much the same.....the difference is after work and where you live.....some choose Bahrain and drive everyday. |

Really? I have not noticed that. I have been here 3 years and only ten new teachers are below me in seniority. That is to say in three years we got about three new guys on a staff of about thirty.
Turnover seems quite reasonable. |

Hello all - I've read extensively in this forum but have found little info regarding Al Falak contracting for Aramco.
Has anyone had any dealings with them or perhaps is currently working for Aramco under this contractor?
They have recently made me an offer as ITC trainer in Dhahran at GC11, which is very good as far as $$$ go, but they are decidedly non-committal on the accommodation front *i.e. the contract mentions nothing on this.
The employee handbook states that they have a compound in but that places are subject to availability.
I'd be grateful if anyone could pass on info on Al Falak, their compound in Dhahran and any other experiences with them.
Ta. |

We have had 5 go in the last 6 months.......for various reasons. Turnover of westerner contractors is high imo. Arab contractors not so.....
There is a lot of work coming up......the govt is trying to keep the young males off the streets....imo. |

I will say it again, we have 30 contractors on my sign-in sheet. After three years and change, I am #20 in seniority. We lose about 10% a year. That is not high turnover.
Yes, there is a lot of students. Yes, our program is expanding. Does that bother you for some reason?
Besides, the same could have been said when I got here 16 years ago. |
