There are better contractors than H.A.K. Algahtani although they are not too bad.
They didn't use to give multi exit re entry visas so that may be an issue.
Jatco is the best of the Saudi contractor for rates and they give you a multi exit re entry visa.
I worked for them and if they always paid on time and more than the other contractors that worked for HAK, AL Falak etc
They have a website and you can apply through them. |

aramco has the lowest turn over i have seen in all its sectors due to its heavy screening of applicants, great compound living and retirement payment plans
i have known senior teachers who who state teacher of the year in the usa who didn't get past the initial screening call......
if you have worked for them, my hat's off to you |

In fact, 15years, ARAMCO has indeed had an extremely low turnover of teaching staff, at least as far as EFL is concerned, for the very simple reason that they haven't actually hired directly in about 15 years!!!! It is all done through contractors such as HAK and Al Hoty, companies which have, if my sources are correct, quite a heavy turnover.
Heavy screening of applicants? I cannot comment on that.... |

I suspect that she has confused the Aramco school for expat children with the completely different situation of recruiter hires to teach Aramco employees.
One is the top job in the Gulf as far as pay and benefits and the other is not...

| EFLing for a contractor at ARAMCO is not an easy way to earn your daily crust. High turnover. High stress. |

| If one were to befriend a direct hire for ARAMCO who lives on the splendid compound, is it posible to visit that friend/friends for the occasional 'social event' ? |

Yes it's possible but you have to have your car licence registered with the compound security. The screening of visitors has tightened up since the Al Khobar attacks but they are pretty good about letting Americans in.
You can lead the life of riley in the compound, there are even some second generations Aramco staff - daddy worked for them and junior comes back. |

| You go to the visitors center, and security calls your contact in Aramco on their Aramco phone number to see if they confirm. Security takes your details and you're away. |

Bump:
Got an interview for a position at Aramco (will be interviewed by Aramco representatives) but would be employed by the recruiter.
Working week is five days, 40 hours in total, 25 of which are teaching hours. Salary is very generous. There are also flights being included in the package.
However, no housing.
All of this (besides no housing) sounds great to me. However, this thread is full of negativity about working for Aramco through a recruiter. Can anyone provide new info? |

Just scroll down the page a bit and you'll find a couple of very recent threads about working for Aramco contracting companies. Otherwise, use the search function on this site. |

Oh lookie, the Cafe is not longer blocked by the Saudi authorities. I have not stopped by here in years.
In any case, I am with HAK and have been for more than three years. If you have any questions, fire away. |

Visitors can get into ARAMCO in Dhahran if they are invited in by a bona fide resident. Just beware of saying something stupid like," Mr XYZ invited me to attend church with him today."
Yeas there are religious services on ARAMCO camp ! And booze. And ladies can drive. |
