As the thread title asks, specifically to US expats; which are the most suitable options and reliable ways to transfer USD sums from here in Egypt to banks in the US?

I'm an Egyptian EFL teacher at the start of his career now (I also occasionally weight in with my opinion here in the EGY forum) and I'm planing to take my first steps in teaching abroad. I was lucky to be linked to a school/university in Vietnam through a US-based dispatch agency (I applied at a US agency online -> they contacted their partners overseas-> these partners suited applicants to their job offers and contacted me back). My acceptance to the program is pending my payment of the US agency's fees as they will act as my "sponsor" throughout the entire travel experience.

So that's the problem, as holder of a bank account in EGP currency, I'm unable to make wire transfers to US banks or companies in US $. Online payment by credit card isn't an option either because the agency's website is linked to Forex (Forex is a US exchange market among which are betting companies; betting being illegal in Egypt -> No we won't wire your payment Mr Big_H). Western Union would only send it to an individual, not a company in the US.

So how the heck do you guys do it?

edit: I was told I could do it by starting a new bank account in US $, but that no wire transfers could be made before 6 months of making the account *facepalm*

You don't need to do it in dollars. You make the transfer in the equivalent amount of LE from your bank account and the business will withdraw it from their account in dollars.
