Kind of. I got three from NJ, they're certificates of eligibilty, good for life. They mean that I can teach in NJ, and then after teaching there for one or two years I would get a teaching license. Since I've never gone back I've never gotten my license.

BUt here in Peru they passed a law saying that all teachers need Peruvian certs before the end of next year. I have no doubt that they'll extend the deadline though.
