Hi,

Has anybody worked with Berlitz in Istanbul? What are the working conditions like? I've read the info packet and it says that you are expected to work 6 days a week and can't get your vacation time until after a year and have signed on for another year. BUT the pay seems pretty good. I'd love to know some experiences that people have had.

Thanks!

Stay away from this place. Six days a week is slavery and asking a person to sign another year contract to get the vacation they have earned via previous service is crap. Run.

Although Berlitz is one of the better language centers, you should try to find a better deal. This place is owned and run by a power hungry, untrustworthy monster. He will treat you like a sweatshop employee. The only good things about Berlitz are the some of the teachers and most of the students.
