I'm considering heading down there this summer and was wondering you all recommend any specific local TEFL programs? Additionally, would my lack of Portuguese preclude me from employment down there? |

I haven't been down there for more than 20 years, but then Insituto Cultural Brazil Estados Unidos was the largest, and not a bad place to work and portuguese was not required.
an interesting part of brazil to know, but it gets cold there in winter and very little has heating.

to anyone in the area, just to say I've recently arrived in Porto Alegre and am slowly getting into finding schools/handing in CVs etc. At the moment its all looking quite good, especially in the smaller schools
do contact me if you want to share ideas/experiences/etc (or need someone to speak Portuguese for you) |
