Hey, has anyone here ever worked for one of the (seemingly) many Customer Service places in Lima? When I was in Lima teaching, a local friend of mine said his company hired Native English speakers who knew Spanish, that all you needed was a computer with broadband, and that you could pick your hours. The pay was vile, but I'm more intrigued by the idea of being able to polish my Spanish. My reasons aside ... anyone here done this? I think I heard there's one company that has a monopoly on the Lima market.
Basically I'm just trying to find out about any supplementary, non-ESL work in Lima. Any experiences or advice welcomed. |

I have a friend who does it. And the pay is very vile. Think 2.50 usd an hour. And you usually have to be bilingual. If you're intersted, let me know, I'll put you in touch with him. He's curlyguy18 at www.expatperu.com
Non ESL work, try tutoring primary kids. I'm doing Maths 2 hours a day 5 times a week. 15 bucks an hour. Nice extra cash. |
