Here's a POSITIVE article on Mexico. This is for all of you who only see the good in Mexico.

I don't think any of us only see the good in Mexico. If you want I could go on and on about everything that annoys me in Mexico. But could you please at least read the forum before you post any old news story you find with the key word Mexico? Guy already posted a thread about this one: http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=69079

Mr. Furgers has inspired me to rewrite Billy Joel's 'We Didn't Start the Fire" for all these headlines, with a Mexican twist...

94 Salinas, Colosio y ademas,
NAFTA, PEMEX, guerra sucio

FOBRAPOA, Chihuahua, Carlos Ahumada,
Narcos in Tijuana, crucemos de mojada

Vicente Fox gano con PAN, la muerte en Culiacan
Think about it, what do you see, what's the connection?

Hoy en dia, we don't know, where the economy will go
Pa'tras, payaso, too fast or too slow

We didnt start the fire
It was always burning
Since the worlds been turning
We didnt start the fire
No we didnt light it
But we tried to fight it

Huracanes llamadas, Wilma y Paola,
Destruyieron muchas vidas, we continue on

Pesos y dolares, pretty much worthless,
Oil's at 34 a can, here and in Afghanistan

Ciudad Juarez, on the border with the States
Is the place, where we see, many women dead

Riots in Oaxaca city, don't it make you feel shitty?
Brad Will, turns still, in his shallow grave

We didnt start the fire
It was always burning
Since the worlds been turning
We didnt start the fire
No we didnt light it
But we tried to fight it

Even though, Mexico, is not what you think you know,
Take it slow, and you'll see, a different reality.

Hay muchos Mexicanos, docenas de milliones
Average, normal, tax-paying folk

They love their country yes indeed, and in them there is a seed
that propels them, forward, advancing continually

I have lived here now 8 years, never having shed a tear,
You cannot know, until you go, Viva Mexico!

We didnt start the fire
It was always burning
Since the worlds been turning
We didnt start the fire
No we didnt light it
But we tried to fight it

Ok, so that sucked...my best attempt at song writing... Laughing

Couldn't there be a little projection going on here, jfurgers? From the vast majority of your posts, you give the impression of being someone who sees only the bad in Mexico. Wink

Don't be so hard on yourself, many of the lines weren't that bad.
