I was talking to my dad last night, and he dropped quite possibly the greatest word of all time perfectly naturally into our conversation: shenanigans! how i laughed! it's right up there with tomfoolery and balderdash in the criminally under-used stakes i reckon Very Happy
So, are there any other words would you like to see revived?
Toodlepip,
M.

I like to keep old words alive, here are a few to "wet your whistle."

caterwauler
dilly daddle
hootenanny
shindig
fiddle-sticks
hooscow
goose-necking
top-drawer
smashing
tally-ho
humdinger

Catch you on the flip side.

In understand the modern world, I think "bull*beep*" isn't used as much as I would like these days. Also "horse*beep*."

Quote:
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Is everyone sitting nicely?

Did you raise your hand?

Is your name _______?

Do you want to lose the playtime?

Oh wait, these are words that we use too often.
