Dear All:
I will be going to Bahrain with my wife in January. We might stay one night there so can anyone recommend a good, family oriented hotel to us? Although, I prefer the cheaper the better, for my wifes sake, I am willing to spend the money to rent a room in a reasonable hotel.
Finally, even if we dont spend the night, when we arrive in Bahrain from Saudi Arabia via the bus in the morning, we would like to have a very good breakfast before starting our day. Can anyone recommend to us a place open before or at 9:30 AM that serves a really good, reasonable breakfast.
Thanks in advance for any info you can give us.

Hilton ? When I am there I go to the Tylos but I am not sure that I would take the wife there !

Most hotels in Bahrain have a fair sprinkling of "ladies of the night".

When I first came over here I wa put up in the Ramada for a couple of nights. From what I can remember it was ok and breakfast was pretty good - there are also loads of very good not too badly priced cafes and restaurants in the area.
Can't tell you anything about prices though.
Wouldn't bother with the Hilton - seems pretty expensive for what it is.

I have stayed at Layala aparmtents a number of times ....two big bedrooms cable tv dvd swimming pool etc 30 bd after bargaining.

Much better value than the hotels.

Many cross the Causewayfrom KSA to Bahrain to partake of C2HO5H in one of its many forms. Now that I lead a righteous life I do not indulge.

Nor do I come over to seek the services of the wenches in what Marlowe called "leaping houses".

When I go, it is to visit the Bioscopic Picture House - not yet introduced to Arabia, and to enjoy a meal in mixed company.

I do feel sorrow for thise condemned to work in Bahrain for a pittance. Perhaps if they were to improve their qualifications they might join us in KSA and bring their foul-smelling camels with them.
