What are visa requirements for Qatar? I have not searched this forum very well for visa requirements so figured I just might as well ask. I am a retired Canadian teacher/faculty and want to possibly work in Qatar or the UAE.
My specialty is Math/Physics/Chem. I am 60 y.o. Will that prevent me from working at a High School or at CNA-Q?

being 60+ is problematic anywhere in the GCC for expats. There are possibilities especially if they need teachers with your particular qualifications. However, it is doubtful if you would be offered anything longer than a 1 year contract renewable contingent on passing an annual medical. 3 year contracts are the norm.
Apply, the worst they can do is say no thanks. |

Yup, I will apply if I find an opening teaching Maths?Physics/Chem or Business. MBA done soon. Teaching license from Canada...
So far, so good as far as health goes. 1 year at a time is much better than life itself - we have no guarantee that we will get through the day alive! |

You can get a two week tourist visa at the airport if your country is on the list. Citizens from The US, EEC, Canada, Australia, etc. can get one at the airport. Otherwise you have to get one from the Qatar Embassy in your country. |
