Does the KSA have either 3G or 4G (wireless internet)? I am especially interested in Jeddah.

There is 3G and 3.5G in all the big cities. I haven't heard anything about 4G.

Love that avatar, Trap. That's me exactly, these days.

I should have stayed in engineering school.

I wonder if there mobile carriers that support Iphone with all its functions. I wonder how much it costs to have 3G service enabled and also if service providers provide deals which include Iphone (in short if I should bring my Iphone with me or its all right to buy one in KSA

Currently the iPhone is officially supported by only one carrier (Mobily), but you can easily have your phone jailbreaked (jailbroken?) and use it with either of the 3 carriers that are found in Saudi, which I wouldn't recommend.

Go to http://www.mobily.com.sa and click on iPhone 3G on the far right to see all the features available as well as prices of all the bundles, some of which give you the phone at a reduced rate or even free.

3G is available from all three mobile carriers here, but the iPhone can officially be used only with Mobily.

Colorado is a good place to go, NCTBA. Durango and Pagosa Springs are especially good, but the towns along the 'million dollar road' are very good as well. Great, actually, for a teacher making the transition to another career.
