Qatar sure was where it's at last night. Simple amazing antics on the Corniche and all routes leading to it. People jumping out of cars and dancing. people wearing Hallowe'en masks, people sitting on car roofs and hanging out of window, it took 3-4 hours to get to Post Office Roundabout, bumper to bumper. I have never seen anything like it. Flags, confettie, some weird spray sphagetti, thousands of people in decorated cars cheering and cheering. The dances in the middle of traffic were mind boggling. The risk those dancers took. Police turned a blind eye to all of this and probably were enjoying the fun and excitement. I hope there were no serious accidents. My buddies took me out for a last good-bye and what a good-bye night it was!

They are going places. Be sure to keep up with the latest. Nothing will ever surprise me again about this ambitious little nation. They are really on a roll!! Good on them!

I do believe that information is already on one of the other threads where you have a post.

BTW... putting your email address on a public board like this will guarantee that the spam bots will pick it up and fill your inbox with garbage. You can edit your post (button in top right corner of your post). I would change it to "my name at gmail dot com"

It didn't used to be. They made a mess of the Asian football final. Some friends went their for the game and were refused entry. I heard it was a local scandal. They'd better clean up their act for 2022 World Cup.

I agree 100%. The cost of living has sky rocketed while the salaries for expats outside of the oil sector remain stagnant. However, it is the place to be for sports lovers. I may return for 2022.
