If anyone goes for the medical exam in-country in the days and weeks to come, could you please ask the clinic personnel what blood tests they are performing? I'm trying to find out which countries do and do not test for hepatitis C, and it's very hard to get consistent information. I'm thinking my best bet is to ask someone newly arrived to ask at the clinic exactly what they're testing for. If this is you, if you don't mind, could you please post or send a PM? I would appreciate it very, very much. This will help me out a lot. Thanks in advance. |

This isn't that relevant in Egypt, but I believe that they do the AIDS test now.

Thanks VS. Someone informed me recently that a large percentage of Egypt's population is infected w/ hep c due to an immunization program the govt. implemented years ago. Even so, I'm trying very hard to find out for sure what their policy is for foreigners so I don't travel all the way there just to be sent back home. |

If you find out which countries don't check for Hep C let me know, as my friend has it and is looking for a job in Asia too.
Turkey doesn't check. I know that because I have worked there. |
