Well the update is that I got offered a job through a company working at Shell HQ. However I have turned the offer down because they were offering the following salary
40/hrs per week (6 teaching hours a day-rest can be done at home/office)
free accommodation and flight
1500/month
1 month paid holiday after 6 months plus 8 national holidays.
I politely made my excuses and declined their offer. They said they have 2 other teachers lined up. wow, even my last job paid 1500 for max 25hrs+overtime pay.
I have got a rotation now anyway, but it was difficult in a way to turn a well-known oil company down. Be interested to know who takes it and why. |

Do you oilmart1, or does anyone else, happen to know what the deal is with other Shell schools? Particularly, Malaysia, Oman, Russia, and crazy as it sounds, Nigeria?
I was thinking of applying and have gotten through to the first 'pool' but am unsure regarding details etc.
Thanks |

Hi Jeani
I'm afraid I don't know about the other schools. I think Shell may have a website for their schools but not sure. It was a language school who had the contract with shell anyway in Libya and who offered me the job.
If you find out perhaps let us all know.
Thanks
