Yup. Qatar always ones to do one better than Dubai so not surprised. I can't believe downtown Doha Manhatten - Dafna - some amazing new buildings but it is just so crowded. No parking space which is deadly. How do they expect these corporations to flourish if they don't provide enough parking space. Even the banks in this area have no parking space for clients. Zig-Zag Towers is a real eyesore. It has no architectural merit. The Pearl isn't too bad but cannot match the projects in Dubai. The place that really amazed me is Katara - really nice with its old time field and old-style buildings. Lots of good (but very expensive) restaurants. The Chappati cafe is cheap but nothing to eat! The Turkish shisha place is good but expensive. I saw a great Dhow exhibition today. This place is really up and coming for the culture-vulture crowd!
