ictQATAR launches new blog
The Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR) has launched its new blog, Digital Qatar, www.DigitalQatar.qa.
Digital Qatar is a blog for technology enthusiasts and a place to explore the boundless potential of information and communication technology.
�Thanks to our numerous community events and outreach activities we know there is a large community of people interested in ICT and ICT?related issues here in Qatar. Digital Qatar will provide an online platform for genuine thought and conversation in Qatar around everything ICT,� said Howaida Nadim, ictQATAR communications director.
�We hope people will post comments, start debates and engage their friends, family and colleagues in the conversation,� Nadim said.
Digital Qatar is available in both Arabic (www.DigitalQatar.qa) and English (www.DigitalQatar.net) and represents one of the first blogs on technology available in Arabic.

ictQATAR officially launched Digital Qatar at its event, �Mudawanat: All About Blogging, which took place on December 12. At the event, people in Qatar were encouraged to begin blogging, both personally and professionally.
The first postings on Digital Qatar address the basics of creating an effective blog, user-centered website design and developing effective web strategies.

In addition to Digital Qatar, ictQATAR is very active in the world of Web 2.0.
