Hello, I would like to teach in Kuwait. I have a Masters Degree and have taught English in Korea for nine years. I'm ready for a new experience. I contacted 'Teach Away' but they said Mid-East jobs require a teacher's certificate - which I don't have. Are they correct, or is just the schools that Teach Away deals with that require a teacher's certificate?
I would really like to teach in Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi, Bahrain or the UAE. Can anyone recommend a recruiter and/or school that I might contact in one of these countries.
Thank you kindly in advance,

your next steps depend on your experience and what your masters is in
kuwait doesn't use recruiters
except SOS which recruited for Qualitas which had the horrible write ups about the MOD contract
approach schools/ universities directly
the vast majority of teachers in private schools are now un-certified
the better schools , of course, will require certification |

You start by not choosing Kuwait. Go to Oman instead, but go to a good private college. And do NOT go through an agency, such as Bahwan Cybertek, CECN, or GlobeNet. Hire directly with the college. |
