Hello there all,
I have found some short term (a few months) employment in the Nagoya area, but I have not been able to find any short term housing there. I do not have previous experience in Japan, so I am not sure where one would look for such housing besides Guest Houses, and from everything I can tell, there are no Guest Houses in Nagoya. Youth Hostels will not let me stay there continuously, and Ryokans are too expensive. If anybody is familiar with Nagoya or where I might search to find a place, I would be grateful to hear your advice.
Thank you sincerely for your response.

Hello Dave,
Thanks a lot for looking!! I appreciate your reply and searching. It really seems that there is nothing out there at a very reasonable price for short term. Well, when I am there, if I ever find out about anything, I'll be sure to watch for inquiries on the board.
Again, I appreciate your time!
Great board!!! I like to the new set up too...
Thanks a lot,

I'm happy to help, Nat -
I did find one other resouce for you:
http://www.ncvb.or.jp/e_html/hotellist_e/h_list_01.htm
It has a more extensive list of places to stay, but I don't think thart there are any gaijin houses listed.
Good luck to you!
All the best,

If you haven't already left for Nagoya, you can try Freebell Mansions. http://www.freebell.co.jp/
I lived in Nagoya for 3 years and knew several people who had apartments there. It's very close to the main train station and downtown. The website quotes prices that are a little higher than what my friends paid. They paid around 70,000-80,000 yen per month and no deposit or key money.
Hope this helps.

Gato,
You might want to check out http://www.leopalace21.com/asia/english/index.html
They rent apartments by the week (minimum 2 weeks). The only downside, if you consider it a downside, is that you must pay for your entire stay up front. |
