Hello,
I'm considering working in Sarajevo and would like people's impressions of the schools there. I have interviewed with IH Interlingua but saw a vague warning against them on this board. (Unfortunately the forum won't allow me to pm that poster since I'm a new member.) As for Soros/Syllabus, their website posts teacher testimonials, but all from people who taught there years ago.
Does anyone have more information about either of these schools, or another in Sarajevo?
Thanks :) |

Hi overworked and underpaid,
The guy who runs IH Interlingua is a complete megalomaniac. I personally know of several teachers who he's 'fallen out with' and who he's ripped off financially. His school runs several disreputable scams, including one with the University of Sarajevo where, surprise surprise, 100% of the students pass! Avoid like the plague.
Soros/ Syllabus are the best school around, and are good people to work for so I've heard. You could try them, but they might only have part-time work on offer. |
