I've heard a lot about the Delta, but has anyone here taken the Trinity Dip? Or know how it compares to the Delta? |

Haven't taken it, but know several who have. It's considered equivalent to the DELTA.
A lot of British Council employees I know have this one, rather than the DELTA. Others have the DELTA. Really, it makes no difference as far as acceptance of the qual is concerned.
The BC in Madrid offers the Trinity Dip instead of the DELTA because the DELTA is completely focused on adults and the Trinity Dip has more flexibility. (The Madrid BC has a LOT of young learner classes, and on the Trinity DipTesol, they can use YL classes as observed teaching. For the DELTA, when last I knew, the observed teaching had to be adults.)
Thinking of doing a dip?

Yep, I am. The Trinity looks better timewise, because there's an intensive class. |

In theory either can be done intensively, but I don't know anything about availability in your (our) part of the globe.
Peace,
Justin
PS- Personally, I advocate Trinity just because I'm not a fan of Cambridge and their deathgrip monopoly on so many kinds of teacher training. |

You can do an intensive Delta too - I think it takes 8 - 10 weeks. IH Barcelona do it, not sure where else. I'm just finishing the extensive now though (should actually be writing an essay now ), and to be honest, I couldn't imagine doing it in such a short space of time, I think I'd go crazy! |

Nope. the IDLTM is a dip in management, I think. I'm terrified of any management qualifications, as I've done more management work than I want to without any, and am afraid that if I got a qual, I'd be stuck.
I was licensed as a teacher trainer for SIT's TESOL programs a few years ago- details on that process here. (http://www.sit.edu/graduate/6714.htm)
Interested? there are a couple of excellent trainers of trainers currently situated in Korea...
