Hello all
I will be getting my PhD (in USA), and have an interview with the ADU for a teaching position. It will be towards the end of this Feb.
I have read horrible things about this school, and want to have an update. Please (anyone who has been there, or currently is) let me know how the environment is now there.
Pelase provide as many details as you can...
Thank you |

I see that you dragged every one of the threads back to the top. If you could read that stuff and even consider applying...
The last discussion on here about it was in the last few months and nothing had improved all that much. Personally I wouldn't touch the place.
If you will have a PhD, you have no need of taking a position at a place with a reputation like this. Only the desperate would take a job at a university with this history. Turn arounds take a year or two or three. Maybe for academic year 2006/7 if they have had a year of happy teachers posting here. Other than that you would be taking a huge risk.

Why not apply to one of the dependable institutions? AUD is not the only game in town. Far from it. Not to mention that the UAE is not the only country. If you are completing a PhD, that presumes that you probably also have an MA and experience.
