Hi again, I was curious as to the salary scale structure in Kuwait for teachers is it available at most schools or does it vary and also do private and government schools salaries differ? Thanks for the info it is really hard to get accurate information on the web, but this site looks like the place to look. |

before the big push by the ministry of private education to have all private schoools 'certified', salaries were a secret and negiotiable.
schools don't tell you now but part of any 'certification' is having a transparent, published salary scale based on degrees, years of experience and certification (national certification not tefl certificates).
no school puts their scales up for all to see, some will reveal them if you go directly to manangement and ask (and seem to be trustworthy enough to have this shown to you)
some still slip and slide - is 'experience' only at school or is it at comapnies and institutes as well? experience before or after degrees?
degrees attested by the ministry of higher education?
salaries haven't risen much since i first came to kuwait last century
fees get raised 3% a year
consider that highly qualified and experienced arabic teachers teaching besides you teaching the same hours to very rigid curriculla get 75% of your pay with no housing or tickets.....
you pay no local, state or federal tax and you get housing free
if you don't like it , you should have been a wall street banker |
