Despite the presence of CNN International and other news organizations, I'm not sure how much access you in Asia have had to tonight's Presidential Debate.

Kerry was the clear winner. His was a generally polished performance, demonstrating clarity in his ideas; above all, a demonstration of one who's accustomed to public speaking.

W showed himself to be quite shallow at times, unsure of himself in what he wanted to say, as well as how to say it. His next-to-greatest weakness is quite obviously the lifetime he's spent within that Texas 'good ol' boy oil bidness culture, leaving him grossly inarticulate in all but that idiom. His greatest enemy, however, is his reflexive facial expressions, much of which shows itself quite graphically in his inability to control his anger and contempt for his opponent.

Nothing quite as memorable as:
"There you go again ..."
OR
"I knew John Kennedy .... And Senator, you're no John Kennedy."

Will this debate change many votes?
Maybe.
Maybe not.
We'll see.

cheers to all
