Hi guys, I'm thinking of returning to Moscow in the near future and saw an advert for this outfit on a couple of sites. Anyone come across them? Any opinion/info you'd care to share?

Thanks.

I know they are run by an English guy called Mick who used to sell timeshare holidays.

Don't know much more than that, but not sure they offer visa support etc.

Avoid like the plague. Worst-run school I have ever worked at. I lasted 3 months then nicked a load of his clients and set up in business for myself. I could go on for hours about what a joke this school is.

Mark is quite the D bag.

Anyways, I currently work there right now so I can give you some insight.

Pros: Good work environment, staff is helpful and friendly. They will treat you like an adult, unlike my previous employers. class sizes are maximum 6 students. They care a lot about the students. some groups are moving up, so they gave them free books as a Christmas gift. Book prices are not cheap right now. They provide Visa's and help with accommodation. They seem to do everything legit, and I am confident that they are honest people.

Cons: each book only has 1 copy available, so teachers have to share. Computers are slow and the smartboards can be a pain in the behind.
Split shifts, but this seems to be unavoidable in Russia. and the most important thing, Salary. It's an hourly paid job and the quoted salary is based on working 30 hours a week, So the hours aren't very stable. also, there is no holiday pay or bonus at the end of the contract. HOWEVER, you can teach private lessons on the side, but it's a don't ask don't tell kind of policy.

Overall it's not a bad job and I enjoy working there, it's got a relaxed atmosphere.
