Okay, I don't know if that's even a word, apostilling??? but i'm sure you know what i mean.
Is it necessary to have all degrees (TEFL) etc. notarized and sent to whatever embassy's for verification before coming to CR? I live in Canada so if documents do need to have certain stamps could someone fill me in on the procedure, is it the same as Mexico or is it not necessary at all

p.s. thanks for the replies to my other queries. I certainly hope things have changed since the 60's, but you never know. And don't they say that if you remember the 60's, you weren't really there?

| Apparently, the whole apostilling thing goes back to a multilateral treaty that Costa Rica didn�t sign. I asked one of the heads of a school here, and he said a regular photocopy of your diploma is fine. Unlike Korea, a college degree isn�t essential to getting a visa. I was offered a job in San Jose today, so I�ll amend this note if it turns out that you need anything else. Good luck! |

| You only need to get your degrees notarized if you are planning to apply for residency in Costa Rica. |
