I have a distance Masters degree from a reputable university in the UK.
I have recently heard that the Ministry of Education in the UAE has asked/told the tertiary establishments not to hire people with distance degrees.
Can anyone confirm if this is true?
I have friends with distance degrees working in the UAE (I'd hoped to go there myself next year), does this mean that they will lose their jobs.
Thanks in advance for any info.

There was a thread on this not too long ago. It seems as though the universities are not doing this but K-12 institutions and the MLI are. You should be okay if you are applying to the various uni's but avoid the MLI. It is not considered a post-secondary institution by the Ministry and is, therefore, not immune to this nonsense. |
