Hello! Does anyone know of a free, online tool that will allow students to record themselves and that the teacher can access and provide feedback?

I'm also trying to update my online teaching/CALL resources... so if anyone has any websites that they absolutely love... please do share! Smile

Thanks!

http://www.voxopop.com/

I haven't tried it out yet but I think this may be what you're looking for.

Nik Peachy's blog is a great resource for technology in the EFL classroom.

http://www.englishcentral.com/ is an option. Or http://livemocha.com/ but I haven't used them for a while, so they may have changed (no longer free for certain services)

Please share which option you end up using.

Cheers,
Eric

The student can record at http://vocaroo.com, click "save" and then open a dialog which allows them to email the recording (to the teacher). It also has the facility to cut and paste a link where the teacher can access the recording directly.

Why don't you just get the student to just do it themselves? Why does it have to be some website that does the recording? Are you and your students really that lazy (intellectually or otherwise)? You gain nothing from this being a "cloud" service, and lose your email address to someone who wants to track your online behaviour and monetise it.

Is double-clicking on an installer soon to become a lost art? I mean come on!

sometimes people are so stupid it's impossible to comprehend. Please don't be stupid.
