Tough to shake the mystique of the US, Japan, England or France. Nearly a century of hearing how they are the centers of civilization and economic opportunity, unbridled entrepeneurism, etc.
How tough it is to shake those images. Even in these decaying times for those 1st world ex-powerhouses, people still flock to them.....
.....when indeed the real growth opportunities are in for example the BRIC countries. |

growth for whom?
people flock to countries where immigration is both accepted (on some level) and business opps are present for non-native populations
which, if any, of the BRICs would you identify as being like that? certainly not China, Russia, India - possibly Brasil - but I have my doubts. |

In my observation people, people go everywhere. Tons of people FROM Africa who end up in Indonesia for example. You'll see African people throughout Asia - Korea, Japan, China, etc.
You'll also see Asian people throughout the world as well, in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, etc.
Really you just see a whole lot MORE international people in places like the US, UK, Australia, etc....basically because it's much easier to emigrate and stay forever.
Not so easy to emigrate forever to Korea or Iran or somewhere like that. |

Plenty of people from Central Asia and China moving and living in Russia. Wouldn't say flocking, exactly, but they are here. Just because Americans or Western Europeans don't come here doesn't that there is no immigration. |
