Hello. I am new on this board and new to the TEFL idea. I'm doing a CELTA course in a few weeks and am looking at Chile thereafter to teach. However, I have no idea what would be the best way to do it and wondered if I could glean advice from anyone on previous experience, suggestions etc...
I have looked at teachingchile as a possible option, although Im always a bit dubious when a company runs things and charges for placements. Is this sort of thing good value or am I better off just flying out and trying to find a job when I'm there, much like I've heard a few on here do in Argentina? Does anyone have any good suggestions for schools/programs out there that you have used at all?
Basically I'm just after as much advice as I can get before I start sorting things. I'm looking at Santiago, and would need paid positions not volounteer work. Any help would be ideal.
Thank you ! |
