I've got an offer to come to teach at a uni in SA.
I am coming from Korea, and before that, Mexico.
The city where I will be living is Riyadh. Question is,
just how cold is cold in that city? +10C or 0C?
Do I need a pile jacket, ski jacket, or just a sweater?
I've got all, after living in Asia and Latin America.
Any takers?

Dear Don Mario.

It can get downright chilly (in the mid to high 30s - Fahrenheit - in December and January,) and the lowest recorded there was 25F (-4C) in 1992 (I was there, Brrrr.)

I had a leather jacket and used it often there in the winters.

Regards,
John
