I'm looking at jobs with the Chilean Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), English Opens Doors Program in Copiapo, Valdivia, or Rancagua. Anyone have info on this or can comment on the cities? What's a typical salary likely to be in that area for a EFL teacher with a Masters? |

Will comment on Validivia. It's a pretty little town with a decent uni student population. I could live there. Would be a little too cold in winter. |

I can only comment on Chile as a traveller, but it is a great country.
My recommendation would be Valdivia, it is a university town, and they have a brewery there. Most importantly is the wonderful people.
Here are some websites, I don't see what the controversy is with BridgeLinguatec, friends I know who worked for them faired well.

I'm working towards a BA in History and substitute teaching here in Alaska, but hope to return to Chile sometime soon.
