I just found out I've been assigned by the IICA teacher trainee program to teach at the Central Cultural Brasil-Estados Unidos in Lins, in Sao Paulo state. Does anyone know anything about Lins? I can't find any information about it on the internet and would love to know more about where I'm going. Would appreciate any help you can give! |

Don't think I can help you there. I lived in Sao Paulo city for two years and I've never heard of it.
It's not on this http://www.guianet.com.br/sp/mapasp.gif map of Sao Paulo state, and Itu is only a couple of farms and a bakery so expect somewhere small.
I also had a look at the local governments website http://www.lins.sp.gov.br/. I'm not sure if you speak Portuguese but there was nothing worth translating for you.
I wouldn't worry too much, I gaurantee it's breathtakingly beautiful, full of the nicest people you've ever met, and if it does get boring you're probably only an hour away from some real action.
Good luck - I envy you |
