I just did a visa run to bangkok and was ammazed by the scammers and money hungry tyrants there. I thought Taiwan was bad but now feel quite different. Taxi drivers taking the scenic route,tuk tuk drivers even worse.I wanted to go to a pub for a beer.Instead he took me to a massage place and when I declined the line up of girls,I was treated like an outcase and charged 800 bat for two beer.When I inquired why so much for the beer the manager yelled " WHAT! YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY! I can just imagine what the scool owners must be like in Thailand. If I go back it will not be to Bangkok.

$___$___$___----that's why. Did you see those tall office buildings? The same thing is going on up there, just not as conspicuously. Lots of boiler rooms sales ops too, run by westerners selling to Australia, etc. Very dodgy.

Tuk tuks are scum, but Bangkok taxi-drivers cheats? You must come from taxi utopia.

3 days on a visa run, and this guy's turned into Bangkok Colin.

Yeah, ya gotta watch those tuk tuk drivers.

I think Bangkok is an awesome visa run location.
I always go Bangkok for my visa runs.

Lighten up - great food, cheap movies and if you have time you can head to the beach for a few days.
