|
|
In 3 weeks I will arrive in Dubai and was wondering if anyone has attended Arabic classes there? Can anyone recommend any language schools? What do such lessons usually cost? Since I will be working full time starting the end of August, I am interested in evening classes only.
Thanks for any input. |

Hi Megs,
I don't know how many Dubai people are lurking around here during prime summer travel time.
Just in case no one appears, I would expect that you can get even better information once you get there.
To be honest, in all my years teaching in the Gulf, I don't know of anyone who ever took lessons. (what does that say about Middle Eastern expat EFL teachers?) The few who did speak Arabic had learned it in North Africa or the Levant.

There is an Arabic Language Centre in the World Trade Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road which uses fairly interactive methods. |
