Hello everyone,
My name is Andy and I just had a quick question about finding a teaching job outside of large cities. I plan on moving to Peru this summer to live and surf for about a year. I will only have a CELTA cert and no college degree. My original plan is to try and find a job in Trujillo, but if that isn't possible I was thinking about looking for a job in a smaller town like Chicama. Does anyone have any experience looking for a job in a smaller town?
Also I don't have any experience writing a resume and Im not sure if I should put down experience that isn't related to teaching. If I were applying for a job in the United States I would be sure to put down my four years in the Marines on my resume, but I'm not sure if this is the best idea in a foreign country. Any suggestions or ideas on the issue?
Thank you |

Trujillo is one of the top five cities. They are: Lima, Trujillo, Cusco, Piura, and Areguipa.
Chicama, I've never heard of anyone teaching there and I lived in Peru for 6 years. There are smaller towns where you can teach. I've Pmed you with info.
If you don't have ANY teaching experience, then yo'll have to put other expeirence down. Your experience in the marines is fine to put down. Also include your photo |
