Hi,

I'm sorry if this question has already been answered. The search function isn't working very well. I have an American tourist visa for Brazil, and I've been here for close to 90 days, so I need to go renew it. I know I have to go to the Federal Police office at the airport, but I can't find a list of the documents I need to bring. I've been searching the Federal Police site, but I can't find a section on renewing visas. My Portuguese isn't great, so maybe it's not that hard to find. Does anyone know what the required documents are, or where I can find them online?

Thank you!!

Hi Zoe, hope you're doing well.

I had the pleasure of sorting this out myself a little while back. These two website should tell you everything you need to know.

My advice would be to get as much done as you can before you go to the airport (including settling the payment at a bank), and that way you should have minimum fuss when you get there. You may have to wait around for a while at GIG so its in your interests!

Any queries let me know. Cheers,
Adam
