So I am a 45 year old Jew seriously contemplating moving to Israel. And obviously I need to think about what I would do for work there.

What is the situation in terms of teaching English in Israel?

I have a BA in English Literature and Writing. I plan to get a CELTA Certifcation in the next six months.

Is there a good number of positions available?
What are the requirements?
What is the pay like?
What are the jobs like?

I am in a similar situation.

I'm a 47 year-old man who has a BA degree and who plans to hopefully complete a CELTA certification within the year.

From reading these forums, I've heard that China, Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea are best for newbies.

Asia will be my destination.

There is plenty of work if you are qualified and you know Hebrew and want to work in the school system.However if you are looking to teach adults there is very little work even for highly experienced and qualified teachers as there are many English speakers living here,and the work available is very badly paid.
