Gee, that last post sounded more pretentious and pedantic than I wanted to. Sorry. I think I'm just tired of my age being an issue want to get on with my life. Like Popeye says, "I yam what I yam."

Not pretentious nor pedantic. I completely understand. My outburst was a tangent from the idea. I agree older teachers have a lot to bring to the table with their life experience. I sometimes find it odd when people are older and decide to give teaching a go, but I am not them and have no room to judge.

Well, I've been a public school substitute, a Director of P.R., - kind of like teaching - a parent, an actor, among other things, so it doesn't seem like strange territory to me.
