Hi,
I'm coming to Colombia next month to look for work. I've been teaching for 5 years and I have a Delta. I'm not sure which city I want to work in yet so I'm going to spend a month or so traveling around to get a feel for the place.
I've heard a lot of good things about Cali and a school called British English.
The website for British English isn't very informative and doesn't give any information about vacancies. If anyone has any information about British English or any other good language schools or universities in Cali that would be great.

ICESI is probably the only place you'd like to work at in Cali. Just being a native speaker, much less having a DELTA makes you overqualified for 90% of the institutes in the country. |

You should take that advice from spanglish regarding Universidad Icesi in Cali. You are selling yourself well short.
There are also a number of bi-lingual schools to consider above an institute if you want, like Colegio Bennett . There is a thread further down about some of these. |

A friend of mine used to work there - sounds like its pretty much the same old overseas English College type affair run by gringoes. |

Thanks a lot for the advice. I really appreciate it.
The majority of my experience and the DELTA are more geared towards TEFL teaching. Besides the British Council, are there any institutions that you could recommend or are universities the way to go?
Arrive in 2 weeks. Not that picky about which city but I guess Bogota, Cali and Medellin are the most likely. Any info would be great.
