Dear all,
I currently live and work in Rome but am moving to Le Marche (Pesaro/Urbino) in January and would appreciate any information about language schools. I know there are Wall Street Institutes in Pesaro and Ancona and a British Institute in Fano. Does anyone know what they are like? Plus, is The Victoria Company in Jesi any good? Any help would be really appreciated before I start sending my CV out blindly. Many thanks in advance, Josie |

Hi Josie
There are Wall St Institutes everywhere in the Marche, including Civitanova and Macerata. The pay is not so great, and the hours are long. I don't know anything about Urbino, except that there's a huge Uni there - you'd probably pick up work of some sort. I know of the Victoria School in Jesi but don't know how much work they have / what they pay. Definitely worth calling them though.
Work here is pretty scattered. There's also an Inlingua in Pesaro that I know of, but again, nothing about hours / pay. I'm based in Le Marche and most of the teaching work I do is via state schools, some corporates. Feel free to PM me letting me know a bit about your background / areas of specialisation / geographical areas of where you're willing to work and I'll do what I can. |

Dear English Teacher in Rome, Thanks very much for your quick response. I would like to PM you but I can't do it until I have written at least 5 posts!! Would you be able to PM your email address to me? I would be very interested to hear your views on working in Le Marche. Thanks Josie |

Hi Josie
Sorry, but I'd rather not PM my email address. Perhaps we should keep our discussion public - or you could write more posts! I'm sure there were people asking on the Italy forum about teaching in Rome (and your experience there is far more recent than mine) or teaching in Italy in general... |
