Hi,
I'm just going through the process of applying for jobs and have progressed down the track a little.
What I'm interested in is how to minimise the tax that I would be liable for in my home country, Australia. It is quite an effort going os to work and then having to give the gov a big slice of the pie makes it all a lot less attractive.
Hopefully someone has experience in this matter.
Cheers |

You should check with the Australian tax department about your tax liability. I am non-resident for tax purposes in Canada - but I applied for that status - and the Revenue dept accepted that application.
I don't know about Oz other than through Australian friends but so far as I know, they weren't paying Australian taxes on their earnings outside of Australia |

You might also post the question on the Australia board below. |
