Seriously? 6% of a nation of 300 million people -- that's 18 million Americans who have left if what you say is true. And if that is true, it would be like the Philippines or South Korea.

Source, please?

Please check your facts before posting. The population of the Philippines is around 100 million. The population of South Korea is around 50 million.

Anyway, how is Japan?

Ummm...

My point was not that America's population would shrink to 50 or 100 million.

My point was that if tens of millions of Americans were working/living abroad due to the bad economy/high competition for jobs at home, it would be similar to South Korea and the Philippines (which each both have several of million of their citizens living abroad).

Are you talking about teaching English? I heard that teachers there earn, on average, $400-$1,000 a month.
