Read the thread and you will find your answer. |
I have read the thread, and I can't see the answer to this question anywhere. |

He didn't say he doesn't live or reside in Costa Rica
I love these word games! |
Yes, I live in Costa Rica but I don't work there. That is correct. |
Hidden, the previous post couldn't be clearer. It is interesting that ESL teachers tend to lack basic reading skills. |

Making $3,000 a month in Costa Rica is a cinch. |
Are you talking about teaching English? I heard that teachers there earn, on average, $400-$1,000 a month. |
No way, man!
Costa Rica is just full of easy money waiting to be had for teaching English!
$3,000 a month is the average starting pay for an English teacher (BA and no experience).
Add some corporate classes and private lessons on the side, and you'll easily be up to $4,000 or $5,000 a month! Making money in good ol' C.R. is like shooting fish in a barrel. |

The posters in the Costa Rica forum don't agree with you. US$7-8 an hour are some figures that I've seen quoted. |

I can read what is written. I asked two questions on this thread. The first one about whether you were comparing the money to be made in Taiwan with Costa Rica. OK, you don't work in Costa Rica. I understand clearly.
The second question was to Rooster. I have been told that the salary in Costa Rica was low, about $7-8 an hour. I asked him if he was talking about teaching English in Costa Rica and he said he was. Again I understand very clearly. |

Yep.
Talking about "how much money you can make" is the favorite pass-time on Dave's ESL Cafe. No thread is complete without an absurdly optimistic "you can make ____" statement in it somewhere, followed by the trademark Dave's line "if you teach corporate classes." |

There is no reason one cannot make $2000-3000 online and live in Costa Rica. |

I have taught five friends how to make between $1000-2000 online a month. They could earn more but they still have day jobs. |
