| I am applying for a position with the Singapore Ministry of Education and have an interview coming up soon. Could anyone share their experiences of working with them? The package promises a salary of up to 120,000 SGD and excellent renumeration (which I hope will include accommodation). Compared to where I am working now - Russia - this seems a fortune, but I have been told Singapore is really expensive for shopping and eating out. Any comments (sensible comments) and advice will be much appreciated. Thanks |

A salary of S$120000? You don't say if this is P/A or monthly.
If it is P/A it is not so bad even better if it is monthly but possibly
not.
Yes Singapore IS a rather expensive place to live; accommodation, utilities,
food to cook at home, phone, internet connection (1.5 - 2 years contract)
meals at food courts are rather reasonable (the one good point). |

| It is PA and before tax. I am hoping that accommodation will be included. |

Quite possible accommodation will not be included. Like anything else
check the fine print and make sure that you know know what is
expected of you and what you can expect. |

Wait a minute, we can't tell the difference between a monthly and annual salary figure? Good lord!
Not making fun of you per se, just scratching my head about this industry we're in. |
